Dr. Margie Recalde is a passionate optometrist who owns Lifetime Optometric, a practice she purchased from Dr. Michael Hayashi. Dr. Recalde earned her Bachelor of Science from California State University, Fresno, and her Doctor of Optometry degree with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley. She further enhanced her clinical skills by completing a post-doctorate ocular disease residency at Fresno’s Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the Central California Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Recalde has expanded her focus on treating dry eyes, including speaking at dry eye-specific events. She is the first doctor in Central California to offer LipiFlow, an effective treatment for meibomian gland disease (MGD), a leading cause of dry eye.
She is also the first doctor in the region to provide OptLlight, an FDA-approved intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy for MGD-related dry eye disease. Dr. Recalde’s goal is to help patients improve their vision and overall eye health to enjoy a lifetime of optimal vision.
In addition to dry eye treatment, Dr. Recalde provides comprehensive eye care for all patients, using Lifetime Optometric’s innovative technology to detect and treat eye diseases such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and keratoconus.
Her skilled staff helps deliver smooth and efficient care, and after the exam, opticians help patients choose eyeglasses that fit their needs and lifestyle.
Dr. Recalde is passionate about giving back to those in need and has provided free vision screenings and eyeglasses in Peru, Cambodia, and the Philippines.

Originally from Fresno, Dr. Staci Hamamoto has been the associate optometrist at Lifetime Optometric since 2006. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry.
Originally from Fresno, Dr. Staci Hamamoto has been the associate optometrist at Lifetime Optometric since 2006. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry.
Before optometry school, Dr. Hamamoto worked as a lab assistant at UCCE Kearney Agricultural Center in Parlier and earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Dr. Hamamoto’s education has allowed her to work with a diverse range of patients with eye conditions. She is fluent in Spanish and has volunteered for Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, a non-profit organization providing international eye screenings in Peru.
Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering as a camp counselor and is active in her religious organization. She is also passionate about TV, photography, hiking, and traveling.
